Children from the “St. Kliment Ohridsky” School in Burgas surprised the children from the “Crisis Centre for Child Abuse Victims” in Sredets.

On 16th of December 2015 the children from the “St. Kliment Ohridsky” School in Burgas organized a campaign under the slogan “Children give to children”. In the campaign’s framework there have been clothes, books and toys gathered and donated to the children in the “Crisis Centre for Child Abuse Victims” in Sredets in order to cheer them up.

Both Association Demetra and the Crisis Centre team offer their sincerest gratitude to all the participants for the noble idea and greet the “St. Kliment Ohridsky” School board and the Students committee for the wonderful initiative.

Association Demetra team conducted a meeting with the mayor of Aytos – Mr. Vasil Edrev

On December 4th 2015 team of specialists from the Demetra Association Burgas and the “Business Centre Burgas”, working under the project “To Provide a more efficient aid and address concealed domestic abuse”, financed by Measure 4 “Services in support of domestic abuse victims”, Program BG12 “Domestic abuse and gender-based violence” by Norwegian finance mechanism 2009-2014, with a programming operator Directory of “International projects” by the Ministry of Internal Affairs – Sofia, conducted a meeting with the Aytos Municipality’s mayor, Mr. Vasil Edrev.
The project was presented in details, alongside with all the planned activities for its realization.

Mr. Edrev has offered a follow up meeting after the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, this time with the inclusion of mayors of all the participating areas in Aytos Municipality, keeping in mind that the mayors are precisely the ones responding to their citizens’ needs, and it is therefore crucial for them to be well-acquainted with the services, offered by the mobile group. The date and place of conduct of the said meeting will be additionally set.

Immediately after the meeting there was another one conducted, this time with female representatives from the Romany neighborhood in Aytos.

More of those meetings are due to be conducted with the mayors of Karnobat, Pomorie and Sredets.
