Participation of the team from “Center for Prevention of Violence and Crime” took part in the training “Communication in Business – Persuasion and Advocacy for Social issues” on the 16^th and 17^th of May, 2015, in hotel “Balkan” in the village of Chiflika, Troyan Municipality. During the two day seminar participants were representatives of non-government organization from the whole country. The training was part of a realization of the project “Development through Partnership in Business and Donors”, financed by the Program supporting of NGO’s in Bulgaria under the financial mechanism of EEA 2009-2014. The main topics discussed which were covered in the program were:

• Public communication and interpersonal skills
• Public impact and persuasive skills
• Specifics of business organization
• Skills for public speaking and effective speaking
• Communication tasks in relationships with business

On the 7^th and 8^th of May 2015 in hotel “Akvatonik” in the city of Velingrad in implementation of the project “Prevention of Sexual Exploitation of Children in the Context of Deinstitutionalization” financed by the OAK Foundation and Medicor Foundation the second of the planned seminars was conducted. The project is implement on the territory of Burgas, Plovdiv, and Sliven, and this seminar will also be conducted in the city of Sliven in the beginning of the Month if June in 2015.

The event was attended by specialists working in institutions providing services for children and youth in the region of Plovdiv, representatives of “Child Protection Services” in the city of Plovdiv, Social Assistance Directorate of Plovdiv, Plovdiv Municipality, Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior in Plovdiv, and Association “Demetra”.

During the seminar the participants were introduced with the goals and objectives of the projects as well as with the report of the study about the knowledge, attitude, and opinion of children and youth towards the problem of “sexual exploitation”.

One of the goals of this training was to bring out on a local level the problems and difficulties working with children and youth for prevention of sexual exploitation.

The content of the Handbook for prevention of sexual exploitation for professionals which will be published over the course of this project was also discussed.
